Our brain is the master organ, meaning that it controls everything that happens in our bodies, and therefore, it is extremely important to keep it healthy. Just as it is important, it is also very vulnerable. This is why traumatic brain injuries can be so detrimental to life and depending on the severity, the symptoms will vary. What To Notice After A Head Injury

Physical Symptoms

If you had a head injury that resulted in a brain injury, you may experience headaches, dizziness, blurry vision, and ringing in the ears. These symptoms may seem obvious to you because they are located in the head. But, it does not stop there. You may also experience nausea, vomiting, and loss of balance.

Cognitive Symptoms

Symptoms go beyond just physical, they go into the cognitive as well. You are equally as likely to experience physical symptoms as cognitive symptoms as well. Firstly, you may notice that you aren’t able to concentrate as usual or that you’re having issues with your memory. These are very common ones. Apart from that, you may experience mood swings, or feeling depressed or anxious. Depending on the severity, even personality changes may occur. These are symptoms that you must take note of and not ignore.

Behavioral Symptoms

Last but not least, you may notice changes in your behavior. All of the sudden, you may be engaging in aggressive behavior and feel apathetic. Lack of inhibition and incoherent speech are also part of the long list that comprises traumatic brain injury symptoms.
