Ginger:
It is a known fact that ginger helps in reducing various symptoms related to the digestive system and is widely recommended by traditional medicine. Chew on fresh pieces of ginger, sip on ginger tea to reduce the symptoms of water brash. You can also steep a few pieces of ginger in water, and keep sipping on it at regular intervals.
Buttermilk:
Buttermilk is a tried and tested recipe in dealing with various digestive disorders. Keep sipping on fresh buttermilk through the day and avoid salty, oily foods if you are experiencing severe symptoms. It improves pH balance and soothes the tummy.
Drink Cold Water:
If you do not have any respiratory disorders, try drinking cold water at regular intervals. Cold water soothes the inner lining of the esophagus besides calming down gastric juices. It not only dilutes the acids but prevents it from moving upwards into the throat.
