Posted on May 19, 2022April 3, 2024 By Herry

Want to know more about mold and its different types? You’re at the right place. Molds are different types of fungi that may grow in outdoors or indoors and thrive in warm, humid and damp environments.  Mold is reproduced by forming spores, which can easily travel through the air.

Mildew is also referred to some sorts of mold, particularly the one found in homes with greyish or white color. The most common types include Alternaria, Penicillium, Cladosporium, and Aspergillus. Stachybotrys is a less common type of mold usually found in homes and grows on cellulose-rich surfaces such as gypsum board, wood, fiberboard, lint, dust, and paper. There’re also some other types that grow on substances like carpets and foods.

You would be surprised to know that there’re many toxic chemical products present in mold, which can easily enter the body through inhalation or skin contact. So, you should have a complete knowledge about Mold Exposure and Treatment to avoid being the victim of toxic bacteria.

Different types of molds are reproduced by forming small spores that cannot be seen with teh naked eye. These spores can survive under extreme conditions in which mold can’t grow. Mold spores can travel through indoor and outdoor air and when these tiny spores land on a damp surface, mold starts forming.

Basements and bathrooms are the most common areas for mold growth. However, it can also grow on surfaces like furniture, drywall, ceiling tiles, ductwork, wallpaper, paneling, roofing, under sinks and others humid areas in the home.
